Why did West Ham sell Mohammed Kudus?

According to the West Ham deputy chair, as reported by TalkSPORT, it was difficult for the team to lose a player they wanted to keep but financial restraints, Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) and regulations meant that transfer deals had become a crucial factor.

Brady stated this was the reality for West Ham, with clubs restricted on what they could buy because they have to be careful of breaching Football Association rules.
