Ghanaians are mourning the sudden passing of Adelheid Babatz Nyarko London, a respected midwife and lawyer, who died on Sunday, August 17, 2025, after battling a short illness.

Until her demise, the young lady served as a Senior Midwifery Officer at St. Michael’s Catholic Hospital in Kumasi.
While serving at the catholic hospital, she was known and applauded for her dedication to the wellbeing of those around her.

Reports of her death have triggered an outpouring of sorrow across social media, with many Ghanaians paying tribute to her as a source of inspiration whose promising life and career were cut tragically short.
One tribute read:
“Our condolences to the family of our dear sister, Adelheid Nyarko London. We remember her for the outstanding feat of being called to the Bar, in addition to her existing profession as a midwife. Daughter of Asante Mampong and Kumawu, due ne amanehu.”
Another mourner on social media reflected on the painful contrast between her recent celebration and untimely passing. In his words:
“Just months ago, the world celebrated her achievement of being admitted to the Ghana Bar. Today, we mourn her. Very disheartening news. Rest well, Adelheid.”
Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, a former Chief Executive of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), also took to his social media account to mourn Adelheid's mourning.

The plus-size entertainer, celebrated for her energetic dance performances and vibrant personality, tragically lost her life after the procedure failed.
Initial reports claimed that the dancer had undergone a tummy tuck to alter her appearance, but family sources have clarified that she was not pursuing cosmetic surgery.
Instead, Vivian had been battling a hernia for years, which caused her stomach to protrude, and she finally opted for medical treatment.
Despite her remarkable fitness and lively routines, she endured relentless criticism and questions about her body on social media. Loved ones said the constant pressure contributed to her decision to undergo surgery.
Ghanaian stabbed over stolen motorcycle
YEN.com.gh had earlier reported that a 20-year-old Ghanaian man, Prince Gad, tragically died after a violent altercation over a suspected stolen motorbike at Ada beach on August 4, 2025.
His death led to retaliatory violence in the community of Kpotame, Sogakope, where two individuals believed to be involved in the killing were attacked. Authorities have yet to give more details.
