Popular Ghanaian preacher, Nicholas Osei, widely known as Prophet Kumchacha, was overwhelmed with grief during the Saturday, August 9, 2025, edition of United Showbiz.

The famous preacher wept like a baby as he paid tribute to the eight lost souls who perished in the tragic Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) helicopter crash.

A touching video showed the popular preacher fall to the ground in tears as he recalled his last conversation with the late Defence Minister, Dr Omane Boamah.

He noted that they had plans and were discussing an important issue, hoping the Minister would return from his trip so they could continue their conversation.

Eight people, including five government officials, perished in a plane crash on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, when the plane was en route to Obuasi.

Aside from the five officials, three military personnel were also in the plane that crashed in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Prophet Kumchacha mourns victims of GAF accident

Prophet Kumchacha was hurt over the loss. He shared how he was expecting Dr Omane Boamah to return so their conversation could continue.

He suddenly rose from his seat, slept on the ground and broke into tears. It took the effort of three strong men in the studio to get him back on his feet.

Appiah Stadium could not contain his grief over the loss of the Minister, in a video which has since gone viral on social media.
