Angel Asiamah, the husband of embattled Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, also known as Agradaa, has once again publicly begged President John Dramani Mahama and the CEO of the Ghana Gold Board, Sammy Gyamfi, to forgive the jailed religious figure.
Speaking during a sermon on Sunday, August 3, 2025, Asiamah stated that Agradaa had sent him directly from prison with a message of remorse and a desperate plea for compassion.

" I recall during my visit to our mother Agradaa in prison, I asked her that if she has a minute to say something, what would that be? And she said she render apologies to three people, that is the President, John Dramani Mahama, the Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang and Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi," he said in a video.
The renewed plea comes amid growing public attention on Agradaa’s legal troubles, which stem from fraud-related charges.
Once a controversial spiritualist turned evangelist, Agradaa has long been a polarising figure in Ghana's religious and social landscape.
Kneeling before congregants, Asiamah emphasised that Agradaa deeply regrets her past actions and is seeking reconciliation with those she may have wronged.

Neither President Mahama nor Sammy Gyamfi has responded publicly to the plea. As Agradaa remains behind bars, her request for forgiveness now rests in the hands of those she once publicly criticised, adding another twist to her already turbulent public life.

Social media users shared mixed reactions, with some mocking the “hard labour” sentence while others questioned whether her appeal would succeed. She appealed for bail while the appeal went on, but was denied.
