Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was filled with grief when he visited the late Daddy Lumba's residence to commiserate with his bereaved family.

In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh, the former president was visibly distraught and almost in tears during his visit to the music legend's East Legon house.

Nana Akufo-Addo was accompanied by former Chief of Staff Frema Osei Opare, the former National Lottery Authority Director-General Sammy Awuku, and the former Presidential Secretary Nana Asante Bediatuo during his visit to Lumba's family.

Before meeting Lumba's family, the former President was warmly welcomed by some astute NPP members who were already at the residence.

He beamed with excitement as he exchanged pleasantries with them; however, he could not contain his grief later, when he met with Lumba's family.

Daddy Lumba passes away, breaking hearts

The untimely passing of the highlife music icon Daddy Lumba has hit his family and loved ones hard, and they are in a state of mourning.

Daddy Lumba passed away on July 26, 2025, after a brief illness. He was taken to the Bank Hospital, where he succumbed on that fateful Saturday.

Scores of Ghanaians have thronged his residence to pay tribute and commiserate with his bereaved family.

Videos from the late musician's house showed a sad atmosphere as some family members gathered to grieve.

Daddy Lumba's 1st wife arrives from Germany

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that Daddy Lumba's first wife, Akosua Serwaa, arrived in Ghana from her base in Germany following his passing.

She was accompanied by businessman Kennedy Agyapong (Kenpong) and others to visit Lumba's residence.

Photos of Akosua Serwaa, which emerged online upon her visit, have won her admiration among social media users.
