Music legend Lord Kenya has made a rare public appearance after Daddy Lumba's heartbreaking death.
The famous entertainer-turned-pastor was captured preaching at a funeral days after the Aben Waha hitmaker passed away.

Lord Kenya, who went from being one of Ghana's talented Hiplife singers to a man of God, preached about repentance and salvation at the funeral.
He noted that death was inevitable, and everyone should be ready for it since death does not give prior notice before visiting.
He added that death does not recognise stature or societal class and referenced Daddy Lumba's death. He argued that despite the music legend's contribution to Ghana's music industry, death did not spare him.

Lord Kenya quit music to be a pastor
Lord Kenya, born Abraham Philip Akpor Kojo, was one of Ghana's greatest hiplife artists in the late 90s and the early 2000s.
He produced hits including Sikabaa, Sika mpo mfa ne ho, medo, fa me kɔ, Baby Nayoka, etc. He, however, quit hiplife music in 2010.
Kenya noted that he had an encounter with the Holy Spirit on 28 October 2010 and has not looked back ever since.
He is now the leader of the Face of Grace Covenant Temple at Ahodwo in Kumasi and launched his Gospel album 'Christlife' in 2011. In 2014, he warned radio and TV stations to stop playing his hiplife songs.
Daddy Lumba passes away
Ghanaian music legend Daddy Lumba's death was announced on Saturday, July 26, 2025. He reportedly succumbed at the Bank Hospital after a short illness. He was 60 years old.

Date, venue and time for Lumba's vigil
The statement, signed by Gideon Aryeequaye, the Acting Executive Secretary of the Creative Arts Agency (CAA), inviting the public said the vigil will take off on August 2, 2025. It will happen at Independence Square from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
Ghanaian pastor speaks on Lord Kenya's remarks
In an exclusive interview with YEN.com.gh, a Ghanaian pastor, Apostle Eric Okai, expressed his views on Lord Kenya's remarks.
"I believe it was wrong for the man to record his teacher. Life is not a straight path. It has its ups and downs. The teacher may not have treated him well, but that doesn't justify mocking him. Regardless of their personal issues, the teacher played a role in his intellectual development and deserves to be acknowledged and appreciated for that," he said.

Daddy Lumba's family issues warning to widow
Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that Daddy Lumba's family got tongues wagging in the wake of the musician's demise.
In an interview, the head of Daddy Lumba's family admonished Priscilla Ofori Atta to recognise that the deceased hailed from a family.
He stated that any attempts by her to go on with the funeral of the late musician without their involvement would not work.
