While some bereaved spouses allowed for their tributes to be read by proxy, the lieutenant and widow of Flying Officer Manaen Twum Ampadu courageously read the tribute herself.
She began by describing the mood she was in on August 6, when she received the news that her husband had been killed in the tragic crash.
"The evening of that horrible Wednesday when I received the devastating news that I had lost my beloved husband, I looked outside, and I saw a ridiculously beautiful sunset. Manaen Twum Ampadu and his wife had been married since last year and had many years in front of them.
