The arrest was linked to the alleged circulation of images showing individuals openly brandishing illegally acquired weapons.
According to the Ghana Police Service, Adomako was apprehended in a joint operation with other security agencies as part of an ongoing intelligence-led crackdown on illegal arms possession.
This operation, which has been underway for several weeks, has so far led to the recovery of a substantial cache of illegal arms and ammunition.
Obama's arrest comes after two other NPP supporters, Prince Ofori and Yayra Abiwu, were arrested.
In a statement, the Ghana Police Service said it had commenced an investigation into a viral TikTok video in which they were heard threatening the lives of President John Mahama and the First Lady, Lordina Mahama.
An Accra Circuit Court later granted bail to TikTok personality Prince Ofori, popularly known as Fante Comedy, in the sum of GH¢100,000 with three sureties.
NPP distances itself from threats against President
The NPP condemned and distanced itself from death threats targeted at President Mahama and the First Lady, stating that such conduct did not reflect the party’s values.
General Secretary of the NPP, Justin Frimpong Koduah, made the remarks during a visit to the national headquarters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
“Indeed, there are certain comments that are made by foot soldiers or even people who are not close to the party. But when such unfortunate, condemnable statements are made, it is important for the leadership to distance ourselves and make it clear that this is not the character of our party."

Group demands Sir Obama's release from custody
Meanwhile, a group calling itself the Alliance for Footsoldiers Advocacy (AFFA) has demanded the immediate release of Sir Obama Pokuase.
The group, in a statement, described the arrest as unlawful and politically motivated, aiming to silence critical voices against the ruling government.
"AFFA views this as part of a growing and dangerous culture of silence being reintroduced, frightening citizens into submission, and eroding the freedoms enshrined in our Constitution."
"We wish to remind President John Dramani Mahama and his government that Ghana is a democratic state governed by the rule of law, not a dictatorship where dissenting voices are shut down. Freedom of speech, association, and political expression are non-negotiable rights that no administration has the mandate to trample upon."
