The Bank Hospital has responded to claims by comedienne Afia Schwarzenegger about the facility breaching highlife legend Daddy Lumba's client confidentiality.

The Bank Hospital responds to Afia Schwar

In the caption of the announcement post on their official Instagram page, The Bank Hospital noted that their attention was recently brought to misinformation circulating about patient confidentiality at the faculty.

"We want to assure our community that we take patient privacy extremely seriously and adhere to strict confidentiality standards," The Bank Hospital wrote.

In their statement, they clarified statements made by US-based Ghanaian comedienne Afia Schwar, who tearfully lashed out at the facility for announcing the death of Daddy Lumba before the family could do so.

The Bank Hospital expressed their heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family and confirmed that the highlife legend passed away at their family.

"The Bank Hospital joins the nation in mourning the loss of music legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu, affectionately known as Daddy Lumba, who sadly passed away at our facility on 26th July 2025. Our hearts go out to his family, loved ones, the government, and fans around the world during this time of sorrow."

In responding to Afia Schwar, the facility denied rumours circulating about announcing Daddy Lumba's death before his family could do so, breaching the client's medical confidentiality.

"In response to false claims circulating online, particularly from Ms. Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa (Afia Schwarzenegger), suggesting a breach of Mr. Fosu's medical confidentiality, we wish to clarify: No breach of Mr. Fosu's medical privacy or confidentiality occurred."

The Bank Hospital stated that his care was handled with professionalism, dignity, and strict confidentiality. And that his family was involved every step of the way.
