The former United Showbiz host shared that she saw footage of a certain Prophet Boateng from the Assemblies of God church prophesying to her friend that an acquaintance in the media space would collapse and die during a live broadcast of a reality TV show.

Media personality MzGee explained that she immediately resigned from TV3 Ghana after hearing the prophecy, as she was the host of the music reality show, Mentor, which was set for another season in 2021.

She said:

"This prophecy goes as far back as 2021. It was given to me in absentia. You heard Prophet Boateng telling my friend at the time of a friend she had, whose occupation suited him. Of course, that was the only friend she had at the time who was in this business [media]."
"After receiving this prophecy, I resigned from TV3. I didn't know where the death was going to come from, but if you heard the prophecy, it said I was going to be on a reality show, and if you had followed my career, you would know that I used to host Mentor, and we were getting close to that time of the year."

The media personality shared that she was having continuous distressing dreams at the time she received the doom prophecy from the prophet in 2021.

MzGee stated that she tendered her resignation and decided against speaking about the prophecy publicly amid negative speculations about her departure from TV3 Ghana, saying:

"When I received this prophecy at the time, my dreams were telling me that there was something wrong. Sometimes your spirit tells you there is something wrong. Sometimes, you see it in your dreams. I was dreaming of death continuously."
"It was either that I was finding myself among people who I knew had died already or somebody telling me they had seen me dead. In fact, death was haunting me. That was how bad it was."

The Just Being Us show host noted that she later visited the prophet, who gave her spiritual directions on how she could avert the doom prophecy. She also shared other spiritual activities she engaged in after she received the prophecy.

MzGee also shared her thoughts on the ongoing debate around the recent rise of doom prophecies following the helicopter crash that killed eight people, including cabinet ministers Dr Edward Omane Boamah and Dr Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed.
