Veteran Ghanaian radio personality Quansah Ekow David, popularly known as Papa Sly, has resurfaced in public for the first time in many years after relocating abroad.

In a video shared on TikTok on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, the former YFM presenter was spotted hanging out with his colleague and disc jockey, DJ Black, inside a luxurious Chevrolet vehicle parked on the street.
US-based Ghanaian social media personality and musician Archipalago beamed with excitement as he approached the duo while walking on the streets.
The socialite praised Papa Sly and DJ Black and acknowledged them for their immense contribution to the Ghanaian entertainment industry.
In the video, the veteran radio presenter still looked young and fresh as he enjoyed his time abroad after leaving the shores of Ghana to seek greener pastures in the US with his family years ago.

Papa Sly's media career in Ghana
Papa Sly gained prominence in the Ghanaian media space in the 2000s as an on-air personality for top media stations like Vibe FM, Adom FM, Choice FM, Happy FM and YFM.
Aside from radio, the media personality was also a co-host of TV3 Ghana's Saturday-night entertainment show, Music Music.

Papa Sly also made a few cameos in some Ghanaian-produced TV series alongside popular veteran actors like Koo Fori.
In the 2010s, the radio presenter also served as the host of the Miss Ghana USA beauty pageant.
In 2013, Papa Sly relocated from Ghana to the US and became a top presenter at the Ohio, Columbus-based radio station TYM 103.3 FM owned by Ghanaian business mogul Daniel Ashanti.
In a 2021 interview, he shared the reasons behind his move to the US. According to him, he never planned to leave Ghana but decided to leave due to threats he received from people who associated him with certain politicians.
