On Tuesday, August 19, 2025, the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, took to his official TikTok page to announce that the actor has been appointed as a Deputy Political Coordinator for the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC).

The regional minister hailed Sylvester Agyapong, a Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Kwadaso Constituency, for his work ethic and immense contributions to the party over the years.

In a lengthy social media post, Dr Frank Amoakohene wrote:

"Congratulations are in order! Today, I received Mr. Sylvester Agyapong, who has been appointed as a Deputy Political Coordinator for the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC)."

"Sylvester has served diligently as a Communications Officer for the Kwadaso Constituency, demonstrating dedication, discipline, and a deep understanding of political coordination. His new role is a testament to his commitment and hard work."

According to the reports, Sylvester Agyapong would serve as a politically appointed liaison officer who would help in coordinating the political agenda and activities of a ruling party or government within a region.

He would serve as a liaison between the Regional Minister, MMDCEs, and the ruling party leadership.

Sylvester Agyapong's appointment at the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC) comes weeks after Mr Beautiful was appointed to the new governing body of Ghana's Creative Arts Agency.

The Kumawood actor was sworn into his new role alongside 12 others, including former journalist and opera singer Kokui Selormey and actress Akorfa Edjeani Asiedu.
