Little girl meets President Mahama

An emotional moment unfolded at the Thanksgiving service held in honour of the late Dr. Edward Omane Boamah and the eight Ghana Air Force officers who tragically lost their lives in the August 6 military helicopter crash.

The service, held on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the Christ the King Catholic Parish in Accra, drew dignitaries, politicians, and well-wishers who gathered to pay their respects.

Murtala Mohammed’s youngest daughter weeps

YEN.com.gh reported that the final funeral rites for the eight victims of the tragic military helicopter crash were held with full state honours at the Black Star Square on Friday, August 15, 2025.

One of the most emotional moments from the ceremony came during the tribute session, when the youngest daughter of the late Minister of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, could not hold back her tears.
