Bukom Banku caused a stir during a recent Homowo donation drive by prominent businessman Richard Nii Armah Quaye.

The donation, held on August 14, 2025, was part of the businessman's initiative, held as part of festivities to support the Ga community.

Videos trending on social media showed a large crowd gathered to witness the generous contributions from the entrepreneur, as he donated money and food items.

One aspect of the donation drive that got many people talking online was when Bukom Banku was spotted playfully heckling Richard Quaye for money, drawing laughter and cheers from onlookers.

The former boxer interacted with the business mogul in the local dialect, Ga, as he made his request in his usual humorous and charismatic style.

To make his plea convincing, he talked about his wife, Akorkor Martha, who was seated close by.

Richard Quaye, known for his philanthropic gestures, obliged and handed Bukom Banku a GH¢20 bundle on the spot, reportedly totalling GH¢2,000.

The crowd erupted in excitement, with many capturing the moment on their phones.

Richard Quaye launches food bank

YEN.com.gh also reported that Richard Nii-Armah Quaye had launched the RNAQ Foundation’s Food Bank Initiative, a project aimed at providing free meals to Ghanaians in need.

The programme kicked off in five locations across the Greater Accra Region, namely Teshie, Ashaiman, Madina, Odorkor, and Kasoa, with plans to expand efforts nationwide.

Speaking at the launch, Quaye expressed his commitment to tackling hunger and supporting vulnerable communities by working with local leaders, volunteers, and other organisations.
