A Facebook post dated March 14, 2019, of Dr Omane Boamah educating his followers on how to survive a plane crash has gone viral on social media.
Many people have quoted that post and expressed how awed they were that the post related to his experience in the Ghana Air Force crash on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, which unfortunately claimed his life.
The ghastly accident claimed the lives of seven others including Environment, Science and Technology Minister Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed; Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator, Alhaji Muniru Mohammed; Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Dr. Samuel Sarpong,
Other victims include, Former Parliamentary Candidate Samuel Aboagye, and the three crew members: Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Manin Twum-Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah.
In sharing the post, the late Ghanaian politician wrote "FYI", which is an abbreviation for For Your Information.

Pilot flies Chief of Staff
YEN.com.gh reported that a 22-year-old Ghanaian female pilot shared her experience flying Chief of Staff Julius Debrah and his entourage on an official trip.
In a video, she mentioned that she flew them from Accra to Cotonou and safely back to Ghana’s capital. The post drew praise from many social media users, with some lauding her skills and others asking questions about her career.
