Nana Agradaa, real name Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, also known as Evangelist Mama Pat, has been jailed for fifteen years with hard labour at the Nsawam Prison.
She was convicted on two counts of defrauding by false pretences and one count of charlatanic advertisement.
Nana Agradaa was found guilty of defrauding multiple victims through a 2022 televised broadcast, during which she falsely claimed to possess spiritual powers capable of doubling money.
Several individuals trooped to her church for the service and handed over large sums of money in the hope of receiving miraculous financial returns that were never delivered.
She was placed on trial and, on July 3, 2025, was sentenced by an Accra Circuit Court to fifteen years in jail.
Speaking to the Heaven Way Church congregation on Sunday, August 3, 2025, Nana Agradaa’s husband, Angel Asiamah, claimed that his wife was running her own ministry in prison.
He said she had become the leader of a congregation and had continued to preach the word of God to win more souls for Christ.
