The legendary artist’s family head caused a stir on social media after he granted an interview in which he called out Odo Broni, Lumba’s wife.

He claimed that she had been disrespectful and failed to inform them of the musician’s passing properly.

Owusu warned her that she would not be allowed to hold a funeral for the Aben Wo Ha singer without the family's involvement.

Daddy Lumba’s abusuapanin visits his home

Following his interview, Kofi Owusu and other members of Daddy Lumba’s family were invited to his home at East Legon for a crisis meeting.

Owusu grabbed attention on social media when he arrived for the meeting in the early hours of Thursday, July 30, 2025.

He was draped in mourning cloth, in the company of other mourners, and with a stern look on his face.

The group walked to Daddy Lumba’s home, where they held the long-awaited meeting with his wife, Odo Broni, and her family.

Abusuapanin announces outcome of Lumba family meeting

In a video seen by YEN.com.gh on TikTok, Kofi Owusu announced the outcome of their family meeting.

He said every issue he raised in his interview had been ironed out and that there was now peace between the two families.

Owusu called on the media to report candidly about what happened at the meeting and not stir any negative sentiments.
