Popular Ghanaian socialite and businessman Joseph Kwadwo Badu Boateng, popularly known as Dada Joe Remix, has been extradited to the US following his arrest by Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents.

A statement released by the Diplomatic Security Service special agents at the US Embassy in Ghana on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, confirmed that they had worked with the Ghanaian authorities to assist the FBI in the extradition process.
Dada Joe Remix has been indicted on charges of running a fraud ring that used romance and inheritance schemes to defraud US victims of several million dollars. He is now set to appear before a court in the US.
The Diplomatic Security Service also shared photos of the embattled businessman, with his face blurred, as he was being escorted by some FBI agents while in handcuffs outside the US Embassy.
Dada Joe's arrest for alleged financial crimes
Dada Joe Remix was arrested by some FBI agents during a sting operation in Ghana on May 28, 2025, after the US authorities requested his extradition based on an unsealed indictment issued by a grand jury in the District of Arizona.
The business mogul was subsequently charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering following his apprehension.
Dada Joe Remix and his accomplices allegedly ran a massive international fraud scheme for a decade, from 2013 to 2023.

He and his syndicate allegedly targeted elderly and vulnerable US citizens and others elsewhere by tricking them into believing they had inherited large sums of money or owned valuable assets, such as gold and jewels.
The unsuspecting victims were then deceived into transferring funds to access the nonexistent assets, often under the pretext of paying taxes or fees.
Dada Joe Remix's arrest by the FBI agents came days after socialite-turned-musician Hajia4Reall was released from a US prison on Thursday, May 22, 2025.
The Fine hitmaker had been handed a one-year and one-day jail term in the US on June 28, 2024, for her involvement in a romance scam after more than a year of proceedings. She served her prison term at the Federal Detention Centre in Philadelphia
Last year, when Hajia4Reall was charged, it was said that Dada Joe Remix was among several persons of interest in her case.

Kofi Boat given time in extradition case
Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that Kofi Boat was given time to prepare his documents ahead of his extradition to the US in his ongoing case.
The Accra Magistrate Court gave the embattled businessman and his legal team a 10-day grace period to get all of their business records together.
Kofi Boat's wife had reportedly joined the legal team to get the documents prepared for his defence in his fraud case, being heard in the US.
