Veteran Kumawood actor Oboy Siki has courted attention after a video of him at Reverend Obofour's mother, Madam Afia Pokuaa's funeral emerged on social media.

Reverend Obofour held a funeral service in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana on Saturday, May 31, 2025, with many important personalities, including Dr Osei Kwame Despite, Dr Ernest Ofori Sarpong, Julius Debrah, Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, in attendance.
Veteran Kumawood actor Oboy Siki attended the funeral event with his colleagues like Komfo Kolege and Shifo.
In a video seen by YEN.com.gh, the comic actor was spotted interacting with political commentator and staunch supporter of the NDC and President John Dramani Mahama, Appiah Stadium, as he arrived at the funeral grounds to commiserate with Reverend Obofour and his family.

Oboy Siki, known for his controversial persona, drew massive attention at the event with his flamboyant hairstyle. The Kumawood actor had a hairstyle that looked like flowers that had been planted on his head.
In recent years, the veteran Kumawood actor has sought to portray a youthful individual despite his old age and has constantly made the headlines for regularly unveiling outlandish coloured hairstyles and engaging in controversial stunts.

In 2024, Oboy Siki unveiled a yellow corn hairstyle before changing it to a purple dreadlocks hairstyle. In March 2025, he was spotted in town with a new rasta-braided hairstyle that incorporated the red, gold, and green colours in Ghana's national flag as part of Ghana's 68th Independence Day celebrations.
He also debuted a sleeve tattoo, which left Ghanaians questioning if it was permanent or a prop for a movie. The comic actor has also often targeted his industry colleagues and levelled several allegations against them publicly.

A few months ago, he alleged that actress Benedicta Gafah was involved in a decade-long romantic relationship with Bishop Daniel Obinim after rumours of the pastor getting married to another woman emerged on social media.
He also claimed that she later got married to one of his acquaintances, a doctor based abroad who set up the actress with a house.
Oboy Siki had previously been arrested by the police after his colleague Lil Win reported him over some allegations he had made against him.
