Details about EOCO's motive for raiding Shatta Wale's house are not yet known. Reports indicate that the raid was connected to an investigation into stolen luxury vehicles.

Yesterday, August 4, during a press conference, the Ghana Police Service, through its Criminal Investigation Department (CID), said it reclaimed 43 high-value luxury cars between January and July 2025, stolen from abroad and shipped to Ghana.

The confiscated vehicles, including Rolls-Royce, Audi, Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz models, were stolen from countries across Europe and North America and illegally imported into Ghana.

Shatta Wale boasts of an enviable garage comprising several luxury vehicles, including a Rolls-Royce Cullinan worth over $500k and a Lamborghini Urus.

EOCO's raid also comes after reports that the FBI's crackdown on internet scammers had resulted in another bust.

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that the Accra Magistrate Court had reportedly granted Kofi Boat a 10-day grace period to gather documents ahead of his impending extradition to the US.

The court made the decision during the business mogul's recent appearance in court on Thursday, June 26, 2025. According to multiple reports, his lawyers had requested 14 days to compile all the necessary documents to prepare for his extradition hearing.

Kofi Boat will remain in custody at the National Investigations Bureau (NIB), with his wife reportedly assisting with the gathering of business documents he and his lawyers would need for his defence when he faces a court after his extradition to the US.
