Ghanaian TikToker Obaa Cee has lashed out at some Ghanaian bloggers for their constant obsession with bereaved families after the death of celebrities.

The TikToker in her rants referenced the sudden frenzy surrounding Daddy Lumba's wife, Odo Broni, after the legendary highlife singer's demise on Saturday, July 26.

According to Obaa Cee, an interview by GH Page with some aggrieved relatives of Daddy Lumba seems to have brought the deceased singer's wife into disrepute.

The interview purports that Daddy Lumba's wife was not in great standing with her husband's relatives.

A relative claiming to be Daddy Lumba's family head also established that he wouldn't allow anyone apart from him to perform the late singer's funeral rites.

The video of Daddy Lumba's family head further entrenched the hostility between Odo Broni and the highlife legend's extended family.

In the video published by Obaa Cee, the US-based TikToker maintained that the regrettable aftermath of Daddy Lumba's death could have been trouble-free had it not been GH Page's interview.

She criticised the platform's insatiable appetite for traction and its numerous attempts to exploit aggrieved family members during their grieving moments.

"We were here when you did the same thing when Girls SP died. All the embarrassment that came after the funeral was orchestrated by you people. Whatever good Auntie Naa did in bidding her late colleague farewell became a disgrace," Obaa Cee said.

In their defence, staff from GH Page have released a video clarifying the issue amid backlash from Ghanaians.

Chairman Wontumi visits Daddy Lumba's widow

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that the Ashanti Regional chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, aka Chairman Wontumi, had visited Daddy Lumba's widow.

The politician was seen consoling Odo Broni, who couldn't hide her tears after the death of her husband.

The legendary highlife singer, who died at the age of 60 after a short illness, had fallen ill and was receiving treatment at the Bank Hospital in Accra.
